sounds like intercooler hoses or a split intercooler both quite common |

They found some oil in the right hand hose but didnt seem to be so interested by it. Saying it was normal amounts! |

Would be nice to know about the oil as I have just replaced mine on 2.7 diesel and had oil at bottom of hose as well.

Small amounts of oil found in intercooler/turbo hoses is normal |

Black smoke out the back is unburned fuel, most likely cause is a boost leak. If it was burning oil, you would see bluey/grey smoke |
