It's going back onto the garage,
So could he have caused this problem blanking the egr valves off

Was a really bad whistling noise and no power at all

He said it might be a broken turbo

Pls help! I'm new to this forum!
RR sport 2006MY - 2.7 Tdv6, does not start.
Timing belt tensioner fall of its place destroying - the oil pump casing, hydraulic elements and rocker arms of cylinder no 6. Two exhaust valves and one inlet valve of Cyl.6.
Initially, I saw the timing belt and tensioner off & the damage on the oil pump.
I decided to remove the oil pump, and weld the piece of aluminum left from the casing of the pump. This small piece of aluminum was still screwed on the timing belt tensioner. I did so, renewed the timing belt and tensioner and put the engine back to its timing marks, using special tools.
The car started, but a pumping noise from the left bank of cylinders (4,5,6) Was audible, increasing with the rpm. Then I removed the valve cover of the left Cyl head, and found the rocker arms of cyl6 destroyed.
After all I removed the engine and transmission, out of the car - removed the cylinder head (left bank) and replace all parts that needed to be replaced (head gasket, head screws, valve ceals, valves, rocker arms, hydraulic elements and so on. (Almost all of the camshaft mounting brackets, left bank & right bank of cylinders, were loose!!!).
Now, I have everything assembled and put back on the car. Everything seems ok but the car does not start. No fuel pressure in the rails. It seems that the high pressure pump does not work! The delivery pump is working and I have enough fuel coming to the high pressure pump. The fuel pump belt & tensioner also replaced. Strangely the engine was starting 3 days ago, before I removed it from the car. Can the high pressure pump be destroyed some how within 3 days without working??
PLEASE HELP

No, it is fairly common for the hose to split after a faulty EGR has been blanked.

Not sure why this is the case, but I have a few theories, either rightly or wrongly Laughing

Good news is it's a cheap fix Thumbs Up
