Oh dear, that is not good. Just have a check around the rest of it though, because I have a silver D3 that has, over a couple of years, collected rather a lot of specks in the paint that look like rust spots. These are in fact ( I believe) metallic brake particles of other (and mine probably) vehicles that seem to have stuck firmly in the paint,(mainly on the doors and tailgates). They are an absolute swine to remove. Wouldn't want you to go in guns blazing if it's this problem, which I think all vehicles are prone to these days. Good Luck. Had the same problem with mine but the front. Called LR assist out and he looked at me as if I was a not being able to get a wheel nut off. after about an hour he decided it would have to be drilled off, luckly not damage to the body work. Good luck with your claim exige1 |

Did have a good look round but its the only side to have it on.
