DRL Halo lights

Hello all,

Planning on fitting a set of these to my sport along with a drl controller so they dim/switch off with the indicators etc. I'm planning on using two controllers so I don't need to have the indicator sensor spanning the front of the car.

I've not looked yet, but is there a 12v ignition live to the headlight unit that I can tap ? I'm not keen on having extra wires running round, doesn't look very good.

If anyone's interested these are the drl's and controllers I'll be using

No.

There is a spare connector behind the grill, on the passenger side.

It's for a pollution sensor for cars heading to Japan

People have used an ignition supply off that

Damn, I was hoping I would be able to contain all the additional wires within the headlight unit 😩

Still I could take the live feed from the connector you mentioned and have a single wire trailing with a bullet connection and splice isn't a negative within the unit. Best of a bad job and all that.

looks good, like to see some photos when done. The controller has 2 yellow lines for turn signal, what function do these have?

One is for the left indicator and the other for the right, when you put on the corosponding indicator it turns off the drl on the same side. You don't have to use two controllers, one will work fine, but as previously mentioned, with two controllers it will make a neater job.

Andy when I was installing my angel eyes I looked for and didn't find the connector you mention, is this for later models maybe? Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.

I took the live feed from the live feed to my DRL's, which itself goes to a spare slot in the fuse box in the engine bay. I wrote a post about this somewhere in the forum, let me have a look for it. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.

Actually I think the early models have it (like my 2005)

I notice there is a guy on the D3 forums with a 2008? who can't find it either
