Noticed a couple of drops of oil on the drive over last couple of weeks. Thought it was a mates old Landy that visits on our drive, and couldn't possibly be my 3yr old RRS!

Easily damaged when being fitted to the car. Just bought a RRS 06 MY HSE TDV6 136,000 miles, to be a second car to my bland, boring Mitsubishi Outlander 68 plate 2.0 petrol 4 |

My car goes into the dealer for a leaking pinion seal on the rear diff tomorrow. There is no noise or vibration, just a leaking seal, which is not great at 20,000 miles and three years old.

Interesting when I took my car in for last service, month's ago, I asked would they check the seal. The tech said that they always did as they were known to fail. Basically if there is oil seepage they replace. So I think as self check before a dealer visit would be worthwhile and could save some dollars if the vehicle is out of warranty.Seepage may not get to a drop of oil on the floor for some time, M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW. |
