Morning all, not sure if it's a fault or not but noticed that when I'm pulling out of a junction etc my tdv6 seems very hesitant sort like I'm trying to pull off in 2nd. It pulls off but takes a few seconds before actually picking up properly. Put it this way I wouldn't want to try pulling out quick to make a gap in traffic as Inn never no if it's going to kick straight in or not....anyone else get this ? is it normal ? First one I've owned and first auto car

Unfortunately it is a common issue - its either something you get used too or put it in Sport mode

The hesitance is less noticeable after egr blanks fitted. Nanocom Evo

Is it a matter of just blanking them or does it need plugging in to tell ecu the egr are removed etc ? 2005 tdv6

As I understand it 05 and 06 can be blanked without software upgrade 07 on requires the upgrade so you should be ok Nanocom Evo

My car is a 2005 and I blanked my egrs off without ecu light triggering. You can buy the blanking kits on ebay for around £15, its a bit fiddly as the egrs are low down in the engine but if you have the tools, its a diy job. It made a lot of difference to initial response from the engine.

Great....I need to look in to this, do the egr's be removed or just blanked, I'll see if I can find a link with pictures as makes it a little easier

Contact a site sponsored mobile mechanic like Bodsy or Geoff
They can come to you and blank them off plus get a remap whilst you're at it. The engine will breath better and have more poke and more mpg.
It's a no-brainer for your engine
