United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Lux Baltic Blue
Adaptive Dynamics fault - REAR

Hi

I've got a 2012 RRS SDV6 HSE Lux with the adaptive dynamics. I know it has AD, because it's telling me it has a fault with it!

The NSR upper arm was replaced last week, and now there is a dashboard warning "ADAPTIVE DYNAMICS WARNING". The warning is constant and the suspension does feel like its locked in iron girder mode. A couple of diagnostic codes come up:

U043A - Air Suspension ECU Faulty Signal, and
C110E - N/S/R Solenoid valve shock absorber.

The sir suspension compressor was replaced last year. From looking on line I can see many references to AD faults at the front, all caused by a wiring fault, and easily found and fixed, because the sensor sits on top of the shock mount, but I can't find any information on the same for the rear. I'm wondering if maybe a wire or connector has been knocked by changing the arm, but I have no idea where the sensor sits at the rear.

Does anyone have any information on this, or know of any links or anything at all really? I can't get it into LR for a couple of weeks, so I'm just trying to get a feel for where the issue might be.

Cheers

Julian

Having the NSR upper arm replaced and then you've got a warning that states the NSR solenoid on the shock isn't right I would suggest that whoever replaced the arm needs to fix it. It'll either be a nipped wire or disturbed plug.
The AD Warning will be caused by this fault, the ECU signal might just be a blip, clear the faults and see if it comes back.

Thanks for those DrRob - I'll take a look at both. Dudley is pretty close.

And yep, Soscast, that's what it feels like to me. LR had the standard 3 week booking time if you want a courtesy car, so I used a garage local to me for the MOT, and had them do the arm at the same time. I was hoping to give them a clue where to look for anything that might have been damaged in the process, so they could have another look.

Cheers

Julian

Yep - it was booked in, but I cancelled in case it all has to come back off and then had to be done again. I'm sure it won't, but it just seemed prudent until the AD issues is sorted. I'm doing 10 miles a day at the moment, (the joys of local contracts!), so not doing too much damage to the tyres.
