OK had the battery checked that's fine 12.7v without engine running and 13 something running I managed to get the car to lift up at the front by changing the settings on the circle dial and I couldn't hear the rumbling when driving until the front dropped again so I think you are right hopefully just something daft
Did you have the 4x4 display on when driving? Did it show a drop? If so it could well just be the front ride height sensor (Jaggs suggestion)

Sorry Independent Land Rover Specialist, daft question but have you checked the fluid reservoir for the suspension? Located at front left of engine (should have mentioned this earlier when it was still light, sorry)

Use power steering fluid fill her up and see what happens, think the garage you mention is a full blown LR Service centre complete with £90 per hour plus VAT, have heard on forums the name Durham 4x4 mentioned in your neck of the woods?? Might be worth the extra 20 miles.

Is power steering fluid the same I've been looking online for the suspension fluid I've found a range rover indy in Grangetown Sunderland that seems to have good reviews called Les potts. If it's just power steering fluid I will get some tomorrow and give it a bash will be over the moon if that's all it is

I have a slow leak on my system ( not used more than half a pint of fluid in it since spotted 18 months ago) just standard pink PS fluid I believe texaco cold climate PS is the LR spec, I just use the cheap stuff but I've had my beast for 6 years warranty a distant memory of annoying trips to LR Dealer, much happier now I have a good INDY, I think Les Potts does get a lot of positives having just googled him if I'm being honest

Hmm I've just been out to see if I could read any error codes on my odb2 reader it found 8 faults but couldn't read codes and something hdc error flashed up on dash I've also noticed the front wheels are a lot lower than the front here's two pictures I took it show this is this normal?

I've got the same red light on dash, no light on 4x4 screen, I cannot adjust my suspension up or down, fluid level is good, all fuses are good, don't hear compressor at all (not even trying) swapped grey relays under bonnet & still nothing, I've just had new denso alternator fitted couple days ago, ace pump had to be lowered out the way don't no if that got anything to do with it, got recovered to garage as didn't want to drive it with drive under 30 message, will also keep posted to fault diognostics.

Welcome to the world of Land Rover, I've had seemingly minor blips that have cost me big and what appears to be "Impending Doom...Panic now" messages and alerts that have been a few bob to fix.... The uncertainty adds to the thrill, when she's running well you wont ever want any lesser car again! Once she's straight just services her on schedule and interim oil and filter, the first 2 years is usually the most trips to the garage.

The rough rid is because the front ends at access height, if I drive mine at access height you feel everything, a good aftermarket warranty is a must. Nanocom Evo

If it's losing fluid that's likely to be a seperate issue, the fluid is only for the cornering system and not the ride height, top it up and hopefully it's ok, if not at worst it will be a leaking arc bar around 1400 to replace or just the o rings at a lot less. Needs a once over by an independent , these things eat money in repairs . Nanocom Evo

Couldn't agree more with the Indy comment, a recent service by a sales garage (unless it was a LR Dealer) isn't worth a bean in piece of mind, these are complex vehicles, when you buy one even if the service history seems complete you really have no idea how its been treated. Good INDY's are very used to the "I've just bought this...." and will do a thorough and knowlegeable check for you. I've had mine for 6 years and if I ever fancy a newer one I will take my INDY mechanic with me before I buy! Get the seller to sort out the current problem then get an INDY to give her a good going over whilst in warranty, most of them are approved for warranty work, I had LR warranty then Warranty Direct (got fed up of the phone calls and paperwork with the later so let it lapse)

Got the better of me so went and bought fluid drove it a while seemed fine but the rumbling noise seems to be getting worse and when the max speed 30 came on I took a photo of the 4x4 screen

Has the front end dropped to access (when the rumbling started)? Then the screen shot would suggest the ECU thinks the front is up at standard when it isn't which could implicate the sensor but why would it raise up on command of terrain response normally and drop after driving normally for a while which may implicate a leak from the front cross valve.
