Hi all

getting a little muddled trying to get a definitive answer on my issue. many internet search have just confused me more

I have a 2006 4.4 V8 SE RRS.

the headlight washer are not squirting.

I know the lights have to be on. I know its every 3 uses of the windscreen washer and I know there is fluid in the tank.

The answer I can't get is.. are the headlight washers on a separate fuse? if so where is it?

any other thought on the non functioning would be appreciated.

I think it works for the first spray with the lights on.

The headlight washer is on a seperate pump (the two pumps are integrated into a single unit), it's a fairly regular thing that the headlight pump gives up due to not being used.

A new pump isn't that expensive and is very easy to fit, you need to remove the front bumper to do it, so with your car being a 2006 it night be worth replacing the wiring loom for the parking sensors while you're at it (again, not an expensive part)

Thanks I'll source a pump after trying the fuse. But I'm guessing if they are in the same unit, both would fail if the fuse blows

Sorry, I did the pump on the second car the other week and confused myself.

The pump for the headlights is stand alone. You have a second pump that feeds the front and rear washers.

But it's still a cheap part and easy to replace.

Can confirm its not the fuse.

Front end removal coming this weekend..

bit premature but got stuck in

the pump was seized solid with rust, ordered a new one for £33, will be here tomorrow

hopefully all resolved and working by this time tomorrow.

Pump replaced today, I am now able to spray my headlights all working well, and really good pressure

Hey Paul where did you order the pump from??? Can you please post the link to the exact pump you bought and the site you bought it from?

On mine I know the pump squirts onto the headlights on the first squirt and then does it again after 10 minutes.... It's in the manual somewhere.

I rang my local Land Rover dealer, and collected the following morning.
