2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Arctic Frost

SPYWARE VIRUS

Help i keep getting spyware antivirus popups popping up in my tool bar telling me i have a virus and offering me the software to remove it, for a price. How the hell do i get rid of it without paying as it seems like a con.
And i keep getting other popups offering allsorts of things, i do have a popup filter and other virus protectin in place, but these seem to still get through some of my Previous cars

Don't whatever you do, click on any of these or things will just get worse.
Go to www.download.com and get Spybot Search & Destroy. It is free and is one of the best anti-spyware programs. That should sort your machine out.
For extra protection, also get Ad-Aware also and use both programs to remove spyware.
Also make sure your antivirus software is up to date. The best (in my many years of experience) is Avast. You can get a free home user version at www.avast.com

With all of these free tools, you PC should be as best protected as it can be without spending any money. Matt

RRS ownership for 1 yr, then D3 for 2 yrs. Then cut back to old bangers and working my way back up through two Peugeots in 6 months. Now got Saab 9-5 2.3t and enjoying the performance!

Agree - I had same - spybot sorted it eventually....

Also I had a rougue IE program installed which needed removing through add remove programs - it mutated a couple of times but keep chasing it.

I'm running Spybot now, should prove interesting. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.
