Ignition Key

Does any one have the same problem as this.
When removing the ignition key I always seem to find myself turning it back towards start by half to one notch to get it to release and remove from the key housing. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

I've noticed the same thing but only in the last few days. Only got the car on 1st Oct and no problem initially but this weekend it was tricky every time.

I have the same thing here - I wondered when I took delivery back in June if it was a safety thing - you cannot remove the key when the gear selector is in anything other than park with my car too

Couple of things:-

1. Hello Tim in Scotland - long time no speak Wink

2. Ref RRS key, as mentioned earlier does get stuck - not keen to come out so easily. Also keep pressing the wrong bit and accidentally opening the rear hatch Embarassed

Ps the keyfob is virtually the same as my previus audi ones give or take the odd mm.

The RRS SUPERCHARGED should have one of these

I kept opening the rear hatch on mine before as well, was so annoying that i programmed the * button to turn on the lights instead.. is much less annoying when pressed by accident plus they turn off after a while anyway, so no remedial button pressing or walking round the car is required..

Hi MD, have been at work driving this great big beast
http://s9.invisionfree.com/Land_Rovers_R_U...wtopic=294
you will have to scroll down the page to the pics, I'm the Captain of that beast! Biggles has been keeping me up to date with all your news while I have been away.
Regarding the start stop button my brother has one of them on his DB9, personally I prefer the location that it the key is in on the L322 - on the centre consol beside the gear selector.
I'll be around now for a couple of months

Wow, that must take some manoeuvering!! I'll never complain about the car park at my office being too small again!! Laughing

Where do you have to take that from/to, Tim? Long journeys?

Cheers

The trick with the ignition key is to take your foot off the brake pedal - then the key comes out easily. TDV6 Rimini Red/Alpaca, Sunroof, Adaptive, Phone, Nav, PDC, Mem.

Could be that the steering lock is trying to lock, had no problem with mine,
