I can only think of MDP who can answer this, but on all pictures of the Supercharged dash, the rev counter has the word Supercharged on it, it struck me yesterday mine has not... Look.

So, was the wording just for the 1st edition or was mine built incorrectly?

Yeah, I even asked that question a while back. Yours is the way they come now, red on black with no supercharged logo. People said that according to Land Rover, the red on black makes it look more unique which isn't the case since the Supercharged RR has the white and black (as well as teh base RRS) and the basic LR3 has the ones we have. I feel your pain becasue I really would have liked the dash in the test photos better. On a side note, I like you're 8.3 average fuel economy! That makes me proud  RRS S/C Special Edition, Vesuvius

Forget the clocks 8.3 mpg, glad mines a diesel.  Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

why is your car in miles? shouldn't it be in Km in the U.K?

RRS ownership for 1 yr, then D3 for 2 yrs. Then cut back to old bangers and working my way back up through two Peugeots in 6 months. Now got Saab 9-5 2.3t and enjoying the performance!

Yes its very confusing, I learnt part imperial part metric and still struggle with imperial more than anything. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

I think we as a nation like to sit on the fence when it comes to Imperial or Metric... have you also noticed how us Brits tend to be picky when it comes to mentioning temperature too? We'll talk about hot temps in F (e.g. "phew, it's 90 degrees today!") but then we'll talk about cold temps in C (e.g. "brrrr, it was -5 this morning!").... yes, we're a quaint bunch.

Just been out to look....... same as yours red needles and no inscription

Around town getting approx 13mpg and on a decent run 17ish

mine's a first edition and got the same dash as yours. I think the vogue sc has the white letering and inscription!

The cars in the brochures were also all pre-production models..... and LR have a disclaimer about specs differing from actual specs in tiny print in every catalogue.
I was given a preproduction D3 V8 HSE to run for a couple of days by the local dealers, before the D3 went on sale. That car had more toys than you could shake a stick at (how about a full length glass roof with opening louvred panels instead of 2 sunroofs!) and most never made it onto the production cars. I wanted to buy the car from LR when I heard it was to be returned to Solihull for crushing... but the answer came back that as it's spec was so weird and many of the toys unproven LR could not afford to have pre-pro cars out in the public domain or going into dealers for servcie/repair when the dealer could not make the spec tally with anything on general sale or possibly even repair them if they broke.
When I went on the Home of The Legend trip the guy from LR hosting us round followed a test mule Sport with massive vents and huge exhausts, he reckoned they were testing one car with an Aston Martin Vantage engine in it...... strange thing was , the car was being towed behind a forklift truck!

Shame it doesn't say S/C with those extra chrome bits on the dash like in the pre-launch pics.

Out of interest what is the red-line on the S/C engine? 6000rpm?
