Which diesel fuel?

Hi,

Does anyone run there RRS tdv6 on the highe premium diesel?

I've been running mine on it just to give it a better quality of fuel but is it really necessary? How much of a difference does it make?

Thanks.

I had my motorcycle dyno'd and remapped in May.

The guy who did it (an ex BSB racer) said they had run a bike on the dyno
with ordinary supermarket fuel and then premium fuel to compare and power, torque and fuel
consumption were identical. He recommended using standard fuel.

I appreciate the bike has a petrol engine, is there any difference with diesels?

Hi, i was told that supermarket diesel had a % of bio fuel in there hence the cheaper price, i just stick to the normal fuel station juice with no probs Thumbs Up ( Oh and the odd shot of paraffin to keep the injectors clean) Not to start a riot or big debate Rolling with laughter 2007, HSE, Cairnes Blue, Factory tints, Love it !!!

The fuel itself is the same from a hydrocarbon perspective and the % bio content is driven by government legislation not if it is a supermarket or oil company retail site. Fuel at a BP filling station is not necessarily made by BP, same applies to Shell and other companies too. The additives added are the only difference really and that is primarily to enable specific advertising/marketing claims to be made, such as detergents and cetane improvers.
