Hi, i was told that supermarket diesel had a % of bio fuel in there hence the cheaper price, i just stick to the normal fuel station juice with no probs ( Oh and the odd shot of paraffin to keep the injectors clean) Not to start a riot or big debate 2007, HSE, Cairnes Blue, Factory tints, Love it !!! |

The fuel itself is the same from a hydrocarbon perspective and the % bio content is driven by government legislation not if it is a supermarket or oil company retail site. Fuel at a BP filling station is not necessarily made by BP, same applies to Shell and other companies too. The additives added are the only difference really and that is primarily to enable specific advertising/marketing claims to be made, such as detergents and cetane improvers. |
