I'm looking again at AB's after initially dismissing one back in July, a quick search on the LR site and Autotrader shows no drop in price yet CAP etc have dropped by quite a bit?

I'm looking for a late 2014 car ideally, some are £58k and some £65k!

A few SDV8's around lower than the SDV6, why are they cheaper as I thought the engine was much better (well, it was on my HST years ago!)?

When I bought my14 sdv6 autobiography the dealer told me the V8's are harder to sell with them beingin the higher tax bracket & they do about 10mpg less than the V6.I gave £60884 for mine about 3 monthago with 27k.

Yes, thought that may be the problem, the performance stats don't really reflect the mpg and tax difference.

I've just sold my Cayenne GTS because of the same reason, it needs taxing next month @ nearly £500, it does 25mpg at best and yes it's quick in a straight line but it's not the type of car you can fling around corners and have fun with like a sports car!

I'm thinking SDV6, decent mpg and just enjoy the drive, that or get an RS6 for all out fun

Plus you can throw the sdv6 round corners better than the V8 with it being lighter at the front end.

Pricing at the mo is 'high", I agree sticker prices are way off what I was eclecting. Wanted to save some cash buying used, but the dealer prices were very high and they simply wouldn't knock more than a few hundred off screen price, if at all! These were used cars and for me not as pristine as I would in all honesty be happy with. In the end I bought a new stock vehicle in a suitable spec for a few grand more than a used RRS. I wanted to buy before it gets too wintery as prices will start to rise and choice narrowed.
