Range rover sport 5l v8 supercharged 2011 Running noise

Hi everyone,

I've recently acquired a running noise on my car that the dealers seem to think is a normal running noise but I disagree and would like some of your opinions. It happens at low rpm and isn't always there but after what seems like shorter times it appears. My partner seems to think it is diff noise but I'm not mechanically minded in respect to cars. The noise also seems to create drag. The sound is in and around 220hz the recording is taken from the drivers foot well and the seat. There is also vibration of the steering wheel whilst the noise is happening but only on the bottom of it. I'm hoping someone can provide an idea of what it maybe as the dealers aren't helping.

Please find the link here

Thanks in advance

Craig

Looking underneath it today it seems all in check. It's a very distinct whirring noise and feels to me like it's coming from the front right of the car. They are trying to fob me off saying it's the winter tyres but I have told them tyre noise is a constant and linear noise that will correspond with the vehicles speed and can clearly be distinguished in the recording. We have had a few issues with the car and the dealership and I guess they are now trying to get rid of us.

220hz... sound engineer by any chance? Lol
Give your steering full lock and check round the inside and outside edge of the tyres, one of mine was all rippled on the inside which was causing a funny vibration spiteful Range Rover Sport tdv8

Surprise Surprise it's you Olly :p, yes you know I am. It wasn't the tyre. The car is going to be going to an independent land rover garage to investigate the problem.

If anyone else has any clue to what it could be?

Thanks
