Low power when starting to accelerate

I have a strange fault

No error message on the dash, when you move off the revs rise to about 1300 and the car moves slowly, the revs slowly rise and at around 2000 rpm the power picks up. This is the same when cruising at a speed and you accelerate, the turbo take 5-10 seconds to spin up.

Is this an actuator fault? An EGR OR A TURBO or inter cooler pipe?

I'm going to read the codes tomorrow.

There's no smoke at any time.

1 in 20 times when starting the engine or as I select park when turning off the car I get "transmission fault" popping up for less than a second.

Thanks

More info

Thanks for the reply.

Is there a test I can do to bypass the egr before I fork out for new ones? Unplug the leads or remove piping? Or just remove and check if they are sized?

I followed the car home yesterday and once it was moving and the power built up there was black smoke from both tailpipes.

On removing the engine cover I see both egrs, the car is a 8/2007 registered and in the bin checker it says 2008

Can I blank off or not?typical its in the changeover year.

Thanks

Thanks for the offer, what is the cost and how long does it take? The mechanical part I can do easily, is there a software update required? Does my car fall under the earlier 2007?

Thanks

If you let Disco_Mikey sort it for you, then ask him about a re-map as well, now that will change your car Thumbs Up In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

Update

Had a spare hour so took out the off side EGR, stripped it down and gave it a clean while it was in bits.

They were fairly recent replacement non-OEM parts.

Couldn't see anything obvious except the slots that open and shut the valve as the actuator rotates were a bit rough and groved.

Then when I looked back in the engine bay there was a stainless disc about the size of a £1 coin. It was the actual valve cover that opens and closes. It had come loose from the actuator push rod.

Reattached with a little squeeze to fit tightly. Refitted and all working again.

New part ordered.

Thanks for the pointers.

Yeh, Still plan on blanking

Just read the thread about blanking egrs when they are still working and it seems to work on some cars, so as i have 2 recently replaced egrs I will try blanking them off at the EGR/manifold end and see if I get any codes.

When my EGR stopped working I never got an eml but not yet plugged in my code reader.

You will most likely need a software patch to allow blanking on Eu4 models
