United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Bali Blue
oil leak

noticed a few very small drips of oil on the drive, from the front drivers side. took off the plastic inspection hatch in the drivers side wheel arch for a better look

excuse the picture being upside down, but is the large hose with the metal band an intercooler hose ??, the oil ( which i wiped off ) was dripping off this hose, it apears to be running down the plastic pipe above this hose from somewhere right at the back of the engine. where might it be coming from ?? 2010 RRS, TDV8

Gogsy, did you ever manage to find the source of the leak? I have an oil leak in the same place, which is also a 2010 TDV8.

Hi Of,,,, no not really had the time to investigate. The only thing I can say is it is very slight and it only appeared after a trip to Aberdeen,, which was very soon after having a Egr valve replaced. I had to take it back a few days after the valve was fitted as I had the same symptoms,, restricted performance etc,, lo and behold they had forgotten to tighten a hose or something on the exhaust manifold which was causing the problem. When I got it home I noticed they had also not fitted the top engine cover correctly.
I'm hoping this oil leak is not something else they have forgotten to tighten! 2010 RRS, TDV8
