As some of you will no doubt be aware, the surround camera system in new Disco4's display at a very low and poor quality resolution.
The cameras are the same as on the RRS, but the ECU and output type to the screen are different, I'm trying to gather some evidence to give to land rover to demonstrate that their response of 'the cameras on the 2016 Discovery are adequate and performing to design intent' really ntgood enough.
Is here anybody in the Manchester, or even better Oldham, area with a 2015 or 2016 RRS with surround cameras hat would be good enough to let me pop over or meet up to take some photos of the cameras in action?
The problem is topped off by the 1 second delay on the junction view

Does 2016 D4 have the rear lense washer like 2016 RRS? If not this could be why RRS has a better resolution 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I have driven both MY15 and MY16 RRS's. The surround camera systems were different on the two models. MY15 has pretty low resolution cameras, no camera washers and the display does not give an overall "plan view" of the whole vehicle. The MY16 camera systems have all these "faults" rectified. From my experience we are talking two different systems here.

Sounds like the MY15 RRS has the same system as the current D4, but has been redesigned for the MY16 RRS....meaning that LR knew it was crappy
I'd be keen to have a look at the MY15 & MY16 just for general comparisons in that case.....
The part number I have for the cameras is LR052028, which I'm lead to believe is the same across D4, RRS and FFRR for MY15, MY16 and possibly even MY14..... Over for a visit from disco3.co.uk

I have no idea what the part numbers are for either of the cameras, but I do know the MY15 camera and the MY16 camera are different. I asked my dealer whether it would be possible to buy the "new cameras" (which incorporate the lens washers) to fit to my MY15 RRS. He said it could be done but would be quite an involved job as the washer system needs to be hooked up to each of the cameras and the ports that the cameras are fitted to would require modification as they are larger on the MY16. Not impossible but time consuming (= expensive!)!!! I didn't pursue this further.

Any help?
