Dynamic in L494 does fundamentally the same thing as in later L320 but in my experience works even better in L494. Feels more planted with less body roll but without compromising the ride quality as much as it did in L320. Makes steering wheel a little heavier too. Possibly changes the throttle response also but I always use Dynamic with Sport (and Sport definitely alters throttle) so not sure if Dynamic does that on its own as well.

Dynamic models (as in HSE Dynamic/Autobiography Dynamic) also come with different body styling color schemes and different equipment levels as standard. I must admit to using Sport mode together with the Dynamic mode and it's far better than being switched off, changing gear using paddles at times also helps, is fun and easy, and improves mpg.  John
