Front PDC questions i couldn't answer

Hi guys after reading numerous posts on front parking sensor issues im yet to find an answer for a ew questions.

Situation:
Since I had my car serviced at the dealers I have an intermittent front parking sensor fault, works first thing in the mornings then in the afternoon it will just fault as soon as its put in to reverse, sometimes a quick jab on the brakes as i'm reversing will jolt the car and hey presto alls working again until i finish parking up. Now i know the car had the full rear pdc loom replaced about 18 -24 months ago, and as the message on the display says front sensors disabled (even though all turn off) I'm guessing it's the front where the fault is.

Iv'e been on my hands and knees listening and you can actively hear all sensors front and rear clicking quite rapidly.
so I'm persuming it has to be a loose connection or damaged wire.

1) Can the front pdc loom be purchased on its own? Asking as everywhere i'm searching through parts sales and websites they only seem to ever list the rear one. or and upgarade to 2010 conversion which i dont want.

2)a I'm suspecting the front bumper skin has to removed, so can this be done on my own? (yes i'm more then confident)
b Is there any special tools and techniques required? i.e does the car need to be on axle stands etc.
c Is there anything i should be weary of? i.e. delicate clips, etc that it would be wise to buy a few spares to begin with.

I have contacted the dealers and before they offer any advice its a £105 investigation fee, I own a multimeter (somewhere) so I can test the continuaty of the wire but thats about as far technical as i can get.

Any advice is greatly appriciated.

To remove the bumper.

Remove grill, remove headlights. (no tools required)

Remove 4 or 6 cross head screws holding the bumper to the wheel arch
Remove torox bolts (4) at the bottom, holding the bumper to the chassis member
Unplug 2 connectors under R headlight
Remove several bolts along the top of the bumper.
Pull sides out at the top

The headlights are easy to remove if you use a loop of cord to wrap around the catches to pull them up. Thumbs Up

The bolts along the underside edge might be seized and shear off. Mine has two or three that have done that when LR have done work. Of course they never bothered to sort it, they just left the broken bits in place. I ended up with just two or three fixings along the whole lower edge. I've bought some extractors to try and get out the stubs. Replacement screws and bolts are easy to pick up from a dealer. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
