Humming noise!

I have a late 09 RRS. Over the past few weeks I have noticed a humming noise whilst driving. Seems to occur mainly around 50-55 mph and also around 70mph and decellarating. My tyres were wearing so deciding to replace and had full balance and wheel alignment which has made no difference. The noise is sort of similar when going over rumble bars. Checked for loose cover plates to underside but nothing seems amiss. Would appreciate if any has any ideas as to the problem or suggestions...thanks, James

Sounds like it could be wheel bearing noise. The rears tend to make a humming noise.
Does the noise change on different road surfaces.

Thanks for your reply. Wheel bearings did cross my mind. Booking it into garage this week for investigation. Knowing my luck it won't anything as simple as WB's !! 😟

Are you running on standard size wheels.
If not bigger size wheels can be a factor in excessive wheelbearing wear.
