Vibration "issues" ! HELP / SUGGESTIONS PLEASE !

Hi Peeps ! I have recently purchased a 59 plate 3.0 Sport HSE (44000 miles along with full LRSH), 3 weeks ago, which on the test drive appeared to have a vibration when above 40 MPH. (this appeared to be coming from the middle / rear of the car rather than the front end). The dealer when questioned said he knew of this issue as the wheels needed balancing but he had not had time to do it before my test drive. The car was picked up "after" said wheel balancing had been done. However it was still the same ? Cutting a very long story short ! Shocked it has had the following investigations and parts changed accordingly: - front and rear wheels balanced / new tyres all round / both front suspension arms changed / front and rear diffs changed / propshafts changed / and finally the transfer box changed. However the vibration issue is STILL present ? Big Cry It has now come to the stage where both the dealer and I are looking at "swopping" this car for another due to the fact of running out of ideas and parts to change ! Has anyone had any similar issues to this or any advise you may be able to offer as to what else it may possibly be ? Thanking anyone in anticipation ! Thumbs Up Regards Lezzo

Jeez, that has had some money spent on it. Shocked Sounds like the dealer doing all that work is chasing the issue without success. After you have been out on a run and this problem has occured, have you had a feel of the back wheels to see if they are hot? If so, then it is a common problem. Your electronic parking brake is sticking on. If it isn't that, then i'm sure Disco Mikey will be along very soon to give you a few more ideas what it might be. Thumbs Up

mine did same, needed balancing and the front break discs changing and resolved the problem. As they did both at same time cant say if it was one or other or combo of both

Hi, never really noticed round town as 40mph where i live is impossible, when we visited our caravan down the motorway it happened all the time. Had it backed off and adjusted and now all fine. Basically it got hotter and expanded more with higher speed Thumbs Up 2007, HSE, Cairnes Blue, Factory tints, Love it !!!

seem to recall a celebrated contributor to this forum (Simple Simon?) who had an incurable vibration after an engine change.

He traded the car in without finding a fix but later met the new owner who had successfully diagnosed it as a failure on the part of the engine fitters to tighten up the bolts holding the torque converter to the flex plate. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
