2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Autobiography Santorini Black
Battery dead, Adaptive Dynamics fault?

Car is a 60 plate RRS Autobiography TDv6

Cleaning my interior today and it seems that having the doors open and moving the electric seats about has killed my battery (it was already on its last legs from the pre heat function which drained it two weeks ago). I'm resigned to getting a new battery but I had a few questions:

1. When the RAC guy came out and jump started the car, a warning came up on the dash saying "adaptive dynamics fault" followed by "vehicle lean when cornering". I didn't want to switch the car off straight away as it would have needed jump starting again so I decided to take it on a long drive to get some juice back into the battery. During this drive, the ride was very stiff. When I eventually switched the car off and on again, the message was gone so Im assuming (read praying) that its gone and won't come back again. But if not, what could cause that fault and why did it make the ride so bad

2. HAs any one got any recommendations as to what battery to get for it. She is booked into Rovertune on the 5th April for some other bits and bobs so Im praying it lasts until then as the RAC reckon there will be a call out charge to come out again!

3. Although its booked in at Rovertune, is there anything stopping me swapping over the battery myself. Is it just a case of undoing the terminals, lifting it out and refitting or is there a bit more to it?

Thanks

1- Had a few flat / dead battery's on my Sports ( not enough mileage Big Cry covered ) this caused the same warnings as you have had - i would say without doubt battery related issues Thumbs Up
2 - Use the search function on the top banner for the best replacement battery - the preferred option is the AGM version I believe Thumbs Up
3 - Definitely a DIY job Thumbs Up

Good luck Thumbs Up 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Bali Blue

Have you considered getting a smart charger and getting a proper charge into the battery. You say it's been on its last legs for a couple of weeks,,, I would have thought it may have given up long before now if it was faulty. Short runs will never fully charge the battery, I invested in a Ctek charger as I was having issues, I normally give it charge once or so a week, also if it's the original LR wet cell type make sure it is topped up 2010 RRS, TDV8

The ctek range of chargers are excellent, and from the shop on here you can even get the connect to do it through tow bar electrics if you have them fitted a definite bonus for ease.
