So found one then? Or is the impending arrival putting the project on the back burner? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

That, and a new workshop setup, and a lack of time have all taken their toll Yawn

However, it will still be happening, should a suitable donor come up Thumbs Up

Hi Gents,
Is the turbo imploding into the block common and are there any signs to look out for?
Had my RRS for about six months now.
Will definitely not have anything else Very Happy

When my turbos went they just appeared to blow their seals and make a smoke screen. A subsequent failure, which LR Assist initially thought was just a dislodged pipe, was diagnosed by the LR dealer as a dead turbo and was replaced again. Maybe I was lucky - although it didn't feel that way at the time! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Not really. Usually it will start showing signs of failure before launching a series of shrapnels into the intake ports.

White smoke on acceleration, puffs of white smoke on sudden release of the throttle pedal, oil smell, number of low-altitude, high-velocity small metallic objects occurring briefly in your rear view mirror while car suddenly loses power. Again, puffs of white smoke. Regards etc.,

Wojtek

HELP. I have a 2009 Range Rover which due to both turbos going has caused my engine to be ruined. I now have the toss up of send it to Auction or get a new Engine. Any ideas what i would get at auction or advice either way?

If you don't mind me asking what mileage has the car done?
Both turbo's failing at the same time?
What were the circumstances when the failures happened? Motorway etc?

Thanks,
