I am considering changing the wheels on my 59 3.0 hse rrs to 18" rims with grabber a/t tyres. I tow a 7m caravan quite often. any pros and cons and advice on widths would be very helpful.

If it were possible to get 18s to fit it would certainly be a smooth ride . |

I think at a rough guess 1035 lbs is about 480kg. Not got a calculator to hand but that near enough |

Those rims will not survive the weight of a RRS if they're rated at only 1035lb. You need about 2000lb.

Badger, is that tyre size correct? Have you got a side view photo of your car? I've been given some FFRR 5-spoke 18's which touch the calipers! How much did you have to grind off? |

I only asked because I've not seen them in 175/55-18 before and that size isn't listed on GG's website! |
