Update on the Missing Extra Washer Bottle scandal Shocked

Car goes in to dealer on Tuesday and wants to allow two days, just in case there are any problems. Confused

Also had call from the Executive Office of Dr Speth requesting the email trail and details on the issue. I wait with baited breath, answers on a postcard please. Laughing

They will assign you a 'Case Manager' from the 'Executive Office' who will never call you back. I know from recent past and painful experience and that was for the car being broken for 6 weeks - you got no chance for a washer bottle!

Seriously, I hope you get it sorted quickly, these things should not happen when we pay for a 'Premium Product'.

Executive Office = Customer Relations for those who shout louder. Same powerless resource, different title.

Sometimes makes me wonder if there really is a good Herr Doktor Speth, the total lack of interest he shows in customers......... he seems to forget that they pay his salary. No customers then no salary............ a figment of the corporate management's imgination wheeled out for motorshows, car launches, industry dinners and the odd interview with an Autocar journalist but otherwise totally unconcerned about the buyer of the products the company he is in charge of makes. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I couldn't agree more. I get really annoyed with companies like LR being run totally by Bean Counters who just need to feed the shareholders.

Don't these muppets realise that if they just produces an A1 product the company would always be at the top. Evil or Very Mad

Closing update on the post.

Car back at stealer for fitting of missing water bottle. Executive office have been back in touch. Email full of apology and offer of a full tank of fuel to compensate for the running around and inconvenience. Smile

As long as LR can take this and use it in a positive way then I guess it is case closed.

Overall I must say I am very happy with at least getting the bottle fitted and the response from both the dealer and LR. I have never had much success in the past with LR Customer services, so I can conclude that this has been a success.

Thanks to all for the input, much appreciated. Thumbs Up

Rossi, next time nip across the county line into Northamptonshire and give Guy Salmon Land Rover a go.

I have recently ordered what will be my 4th car from them and they have always provided a service which is second to none!
