I have had the sump and filter change on my 2007 V8 along with the correct make and quantity of oil but the problem still exists.

When pulling away with a cold engine and putting my foot down hard on the accelerator the engine seems to misfire and a transmission fault comes up and restricts the car operation.
When I pull over and recycle the ignition the engines starts no problem and from then if I drive slow there are no more problems and as soon as the engine warms up a little say 5mins I have no more problems.

If I put the box into command and change manually there doesn't seem to be a problem driving hard as long as I change up before the revs get too high.&

If I drive from cold slowly then there are no gear change problems apart from some times the gears are a little slow to change at certain refs and when taking my foot off there is a slight shunt when the box changes down.

Has anyone had this problem please.

Hard acceleration on a cold engine..... getting that nice cold air charge out of the intercooler and throwing the map sensors into all sorts of wtf!

The car is telling you it likes to warm up gently so listen to it, otherwise you will soon be ordering some new turbos and a £4 k bill. 5.0 Ltr Superchrged RRS2, Chile Red, Sideways out of junctions!
TDV8 HST Stornaway on a 08.. remapped.. now gone and replaced, was a mighty fine car..

Thanks for the info and fully accept that but this had just started to happen and is not a thing I do often bug at times it us needed pulling out from where I live.

Sounds very much like a blocked fuel filter

Have the fault codes read first, saves any guesswork

you were spot on the fuel filter was changed and the problem solved the car has now had the gearbox oill checked and took 1ltr and then the garage carried out a full system check and re-set.
Result the car is now driving great no stutters or shunting into gear while slowing down and changes up now without any hesitation.
