Brake pad wear sensor
Yesterday my check brake pad light came on so I checked all 4 corners and it was the fronts that needed doing, today I changed the front pads and wear sensor. Anyway the check brake pad light is still dinging and binging at me nearly everytime I press the brakes and its driving me mad. Any ideas on how to reset it or get rid of it? [/url]
It's hard wired, so check the connector etc. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

The connector seems ok, it's strange how it will go off as I press the brake pedal. The connector seemed fine to me, I was given the wrong size sensor to start with so I cut the sensor off and soldered it to the original cable as I figured it only works on continuity but that still acted the same so I went and got the correct one which is still playing up :/
Oh yeah, missed the brake bit - sounds as though the seating of the sensor is an issue, or just a duff sensor.
It does indeed work on continuity, so you can always short the wires to shut it up in the meantime. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

I did wonder if it was seated properly so I locked the wheel over and got in there and it was pressed rite down and could t physically go any further, I read some people say it can go off on its own after a couple of outings, that seems strange to me and you would think it either works or it doesn't, maybe I will just cut and join them together. Be just my luck that that won't stop it lol thanks for the help.
