Just changing to my newly acquired set of winter wheel/tyres. I got the first wheel on with some difficulty but the second wheel doesn't want to seat on the hub very easily. The culprit seems to be a skinny little aluminium insert (see below in its semi-removed state)

They look like the Concentric Rings you used to be able to get to fit Sport Rims to the old P38's and possibly the Disco 2 as they were a different bore size something like 70mm instead of 72mm.

OK, I think they were superflouous spigot rings. Sorted out wheels 2,3,4 but of course wheel #1 won't come off at all. Off to my local garage who is nuttering that I should bring a spare just in case it needs to be cut it off or the rim breaks |

Crisis averted. Nice people at my local independent LR Garage just jacked it up and whacked it several times with a big soft hammer. No cracks, no damage and ..... no bill
