I have a rrs 4.2 sc I've recently disconnected my battery to put on trickle charge and when I've put it back on I've noticed I'm getting multiple readings from the battery idle no ignition !at about 11v then goes to around 13.8 when engine running ! But on a morning I've noticed my sat nav touch screen doesnt work until I've been driving for about 10 minutes of driving ! Then I can use it !does anyone know if it's the battery or does the denso unit need resetting if so how ? The unit is under the passenger seat! Thanks

11v at ideal is way too low. Sounds like early warning signs of alternator on its way out to just an old battery. Bodsys Brake Bible

How do I check my alternator? Also will this affect my sat nav been slow to work on adaily start up! Also would you recommend a battery change the one I've got on is a yr old varta! Could it be a faulty cell thanks
