The car went on sale in May 2005, no spec changes through to end of 2007 however there are not a lot of "standard" spec cars as everyone seems to have added some or all of the optionns except the really unpopular sunnroof. Some colours changed in 2006 for 2007MY Bonatti Grey became Stornoway Grey (less brown and more grey!) Cairns Blue was discontinued and Buckingham Blue replaced it, Zermatt Silver became a hardly any difference Zambesi or maybe it was the other way round. Creamy Chawton White became whiter Alaska White. The only real mechanical change for 2007 was the uprating of the the steering rack on 2.7SE and HSE to the same one as the S/C and NA V8 (which was dropped in the UK in 2007 due to very low sales). That change allowed owners to upgrade to 20" wheels without infringing their warranty as up to 2007MY the biggest wheels that could be fitted were 19's. Look out for 2005 to 2007 HSE's with the Dynamic Handling Pack which added the trick electrohydraulic anti-rollbar system that the S/C had as standard. It was a popular option as that came with 20" wheels as standard and an uprated steering rack. Apart from that the biggest change was at the end of 2007MY when the fitted wired handsfree phone system was deleted and replaced with the fully Bluetooth system. Those early cars with the optional handsfree kit will have a cradle and wiring under the centre cubby box lid. That went out for 2008MY and was replaced by the electrically adjusted steering column and all HSE's got the Bluetooth handsfree that didn't require a cradle. In 2007 SE's got standard fitted Nav whereas before on SE it was a factory option. I think that was about it really, very little changed between 2005band the first revisions for 2008MY. The first TDv8's came in July 2007 IIRC and were initially only available as HSE's but then were also available as HST's in 2008. IIRC all HSE's had a refigerated centre cubby box and no RRS had standard rear seat entertainment, it was though a popular option and came in two forms, a drop down small screen in the midle of the roofliner behind the front setas or a system built into the front steat headrestraints. TV was not an option on 200 through 2008 cars but some where fitted with a TV in Motion kit to go with the rear seat entertainment. The stanard ICE was an Alpine system which had Hamon Kardon speakers but there was an upgrade to a Harmon Kardon higher tech system that was supposed to be very good in its day, I foget what it was called but was basically a surround sound system. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

It doesn't look like a frdige though, it looks just like the centre cubby box with a lid that slides into a holder under the cover of the box. They were a lot of trouble and often the switch would fail. They also never made anything cold they just chilled a bit. You should have a small switch on the edge of the rim where the cubby box cover latches. I'm pretty certain they were standard on the HSE as my TDv8 HSE had one and it was a bog standard no added options car. I'm not at home to check my sales brochures from that period so cannot verify, but am pretty certain it was a standard item. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

My early 08MY TDV8 has the phone cradle so it was still available in late 2007 / early 2008.
