We had this on our 2011 RRS 4 weeks after purchasing it, it's a common fault with the sensor, had ours sorted by the main dealer

As mentioned, garage reckons a corroded sensor! It unfortunately involves dropping the tank! The notes on their computer says "ask the customer to only have up to a quarter tank of fuel"...errr...not easy when there is no reading on the gauge! |

I'm feeling a bit lighter now...to the tune of £267...but the gauge is now working correctly. I got a Discovery Sport as a courtesy car for the day too! Very impressed with it.
