Radio problem

I have a problem with my RRS 2005 Radio. Radio works fine, but the only button on the actual radio itself that works is the volume button. Screen appears fine, the only way to adjust the radio is through the steering wheel buttons. Any help on resolving this would be appreciated. Thankyou

Try a hard reset first.
Disconnect the battery cables and touch them together for 10-20 seconds (you may need a spanner or something metal to help reach between them.

Reconnect and try again. Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

Thankyou. Will give that a try later today after I've finished spraying a van.

Just out and about today in the 2006 RRS 4.2 s/c and I seem to have the opposite problem- no sound and the volumne knob doesn't do anything.
Radio and Cd turn on, display reads etc. Confused Is there some mute button somewhere that disables the sound ? Or should I try the hard reset as well???

Further to my last post.
The sound for the radio and hands free phone (bluetooth connection) turns itself on and off for no apparent reason.
Any ideas Question

Seems like an amp failure. The pre-amp in the actual radio/CD unit is unlikely to fail. If turning the volume knob to 11 doesn't make any difference (and there is not even some hiss from the speakers), then you're looking for a replacement amp. Regards etc.,
