We had them mounted around the cockpit on a Chinook, Don't remember ever having to tune them, think it was more in line with washing machine technology..... |

yeah, as if you're ever going to take the vibration out of a Chinook!!! |

The one I was thinking of was in the nose and we had to do test runs to tune it. it was called a VTA (Vibration Tuning Absorber) |
