Help with suspension problem

Help needed.
When driving along my RRS shows suspension fault light (amber). It then goes red and says special programs off. It then goes into no suspension at all and bounces over every little bump. I stop, turn it off and play with the suspension button going up down and so on for a while. This clears it until it does it again some miles later.
Any ideas.

Is the amber light on permanently, or does it clear fully?

Do the heights appear normal on the 4X4 info screen?

I think fault codes may be needed to be able to diagnose it but let us know of any other symptoms and be as specific as you can. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Sometimes the front passenger side goes red and drops on the 4x4 screen.
Suspension is erratic after being stood for a couple of days

Without further diagnostics, that would be my best guess then - a duff height sensor or associated wiring (Assuming the suspension still raises/lowers normally on that corner? Aside from when the full lowering is triggered, that is.)

If needed, the height sensors are available very cheaply from a few main dealers on Ebay and are easy to change (but the system needs to be calibrated afterwards): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Discovery-3-heig...2ee12bbbea Wink
