Had this happen three times now: Whole dash, and HUD, disappears along with indicators, lights and everything controlled by the column. After 10 seconds or so, all comes back as it was. This used to happen to my brother's L405.

Anyone else had this? 

on a SVR I would be going mental!!!, sounds like a earth intermittent fault, not a nice one to fix as finding is it a nightmare None currently

Could also be a software problem which is causing the software running the display to hang up. Systems like this use a watch-dog timer which is continually reset by the software; if the software hangs up, the watch-dog timer expires after a few seconds and does a hardware reset. If the TFT dials do a new sweep when they re-appear, that would suggest a hardware reset is taking place. Mark

Mine has started to go a little odd, when the TFT is displaying the sat nav (coming up to a turn etc) the whole screen goes fuzzy and blurred - once its off the sat nav its fine....
