I supplied Lockheed 5.1 race brake fluid and the whole system was flushed and changed to this fluid so I removed any chance of brake fade issues from the equation.


Have done this on every car I have owned None currently

Big thank you to Pete at Land rover for covering the windscreen replacement and to Darren again at Peter Vardy Aberdeen , Service Manager for getting it done overnight.

After a history of defects like that, it's good that they're sorted but you have to wonder what's next... Mark

SVR in Estoril Blue

Well the saga continues now driving a FFRR due to my new RRS pretending to be a Sinclair C5!!

It's very sick in the engine department, no power, gearbox not dropping and sport mode slower than normal drive😱

Dealer and Land Rover investigating, but it's the same issues amplified from the day I picked it up.....
Maybe new engines and turbos worse case

Have to wait and see

Still it will be fixed one way or another, otherwise deal on custom build SVR will be done, not that the wife is keen on that  None currently

Why was your windscreen cracked? Was it a stone chip and if so how come LR paid for that??

there is a spate of faulty gearbox ECU and a new software patch out to try and cure the ones that can be, as of last week!!

mine is unfortunately more serious, the supplied temporary FFRR TDV6 is like a rocket compared to the RRS........ None currently

Love the drive of my 2011 TDV6 HSE but with my recent issues oil leak and electrical shut down and posts like this one I despair that I can support the LR marque. Yes others will say all cars are like this and will have issues. Let me say that I follow the Merc forums and Santa Fe forums and other than electronic brake issues with Santa Fe which is equally as bad with RRS none have so many issues as LR.

Follow the new LR Discovery Sport issues it is frightening .

I know I will be pilloried here for these comments but L R need to wake up and take reliability and customer service to a whole new level.

Now really hacked off, car not even made it into the work shop!!

Land Rover UK phoned awaiting call back, told them I want support and full refund if not addressed, SVR build draft submitted to let them chew on!

Meeting tomorrow at dealers about SVR upgrade to fix issues

Not impressed with build quality or attention to address customers valid experience failure by LR brand

Thats awful, should name and shame the dealership as well.

Did you get it on finance? If so, can the finance company help you?

I am "hoping" to pick mine up today, however "replacement of a valve block and fluid reservoir relating to the dynamic response" doesn't make me think they've found the issue, that, and the fact I was due a call at 2pm to tell me it was ready...I called them at 14:30 and "its just about to go on a road test"....and I still haven't heard back from them! 2014.5 Mariana Black 5.0 Supercharged V8 Autobiography

Engine knock on number 1 confirmed

Gearbox investigation tomorrow so

Owner 1 : Dealer 0

Meeting tomorrow to prepare SVR build specs and custom requirements just in case!!! None currently

Just get the SVR. The noise will more than make up for the disappointment with this one

I presume no one at the dealership or JLR has queried what you've done with the 'IIDTool'?
