Are these vehicles not updated via a memory stick plugged into the usb port same as 12/13 models? seems a retro step if they have gone back to a disc.

if its a 2005 tdv6 2.7 as your profile Question

then it should be IIRC under the front left seat behind a cover panel (n/s/f on a uk car!)

if you have a 20015 Rt then I have no idea Whistle

Thumbs Up

Sorry for the mistake. The RRS is of 2005 and there is no player under the front seats.

So if you move the front seats all the way forward and up, what can you see under the seats? One side will be an amp and the other side will be the Satnav DVD drive. Bodsys Brake Bible

I'll come back wit photos to show what is under the seats. There are two units, one under each seat, but none has a slot to insert a CD.

On, so the one that has a blue plug in it, yo need to reach over the top of it, press the button on the front right hand side. If the button doesn't press in, move your hand to the left hand side and slide the slider over, then press the button again. The disk will slide out, replace if you have another disk and it will go in ok. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

Thanks BODSY . Under the driver's seat (LH) is indeed a box with a blue connector. On lable on it reeds DENSO.
The button for ROM out and for lock/unlocking are not on the unit itself but about 2" away from it. These can only be accessed from the front after removing a black plastic cover. From the front position one can see the slot for the CD, but the CD will not
slide out completely because a bracket is obstructing it. In my case I will have to take the whole unit out from the back of the driver's seat by unscrewing 4 little bolts. The cable are long enough to perform this task.
Again thanks BODSY, you are a big help.

I think something is stopping your seat from moving all the way forward.
But, you found a solution to the problem Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

The seat moves forward and back, also rises. The bracket holds a plate on which are some electric parts are installed. This bracket is in the way to fully let the CD slide out. Anyway it is a not understandable why Land Rover blocked the CD slot in that way.

SOLUTION:
TO unload or upload the DVD I have to move the seat forward in order the bracket to clear full access to the player. I changed the 2005 DVD with the 2015 one and all works fine. I did not use the Program disc which was delivered together with the 2015 one. Thanks to all: what a great place this forum is!!

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Hi, I'm trying to do the same thing but no luck so far. I've moved the seat forward and up but can't see or feel any buttons. There's a black plastic cover under the front of the seat which I guess is covering/protecting the slot and buttons, but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to remove this...

Any further suggestions please?

Thanks,

Nick

Yes, you have to remove the black plastic cover. It has for clips , two on each side at the top and two at the bottom. Try to get the top off first and then the bottom ones, perhaps one at a time. With the seat in the most backward a position you reach the black cover easiest and you can locate two buttons on a black housing. Push one to the left ( there is padlock open on it and then push on the left one labeled ROM. This one will slide the DVD out,, which will only slide out completely when you move the seat back fully forward. Once you have the old DVD out slide the new on in. After that slide the button with the closed padlock on it to the close position and you are done. Then put back on the black plasti cover with the four clips. Good luck.
