Are these vehicles not updated via a memory stick plugged into the usb port same as 12/13 models? seems a retro step if they have gone back to a disc.

Sorry for the mistake. The RRS is of 2005 and there is no player under the front seats. |

So if you move the front seats all the way forward and up, what can you see under the seats? One side will be an amp and the other side will be the Satnav DVD drive. Bodsys Brake Bible

I'll come back wit photos to show what is under the seats. There are two units, one under each seat, but none has a slot to insert a CD. |

On, so the one that has a blue plug in it, yo need to reach over the top of it, press the button on the front right hand side. If the button doesn't press in, move your hand to the left hand side and slide the slider over, then press the button again. The disk will slide out, replace if you have another disk and it will go in ok. Bodsys Brake Bible

I think something is stopping your seat from moving all the way forward.

The seat moves forward and back, also rises. The bracket holds a plate on which are some electric parts are installed. This bracket is in the way to fully let the CD slide out. Anyway it is a not understandable why Land Rover blocked the CD slot in that way. |

Hi, I'm trying to do the same thing but no luck so far. I've moved the seat forward and up but can't see or feel any buttons. There's a black plastic cover under the front of the seat which I guess is covering/protecting the slot and buttons, but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to remove this...

Yes, you have to remove the black plastic cover. It has for clips , two on each side at the top and two at the bottom. Try to get the top off first and then the bottom ones, perhaps one at a time. With the seat in the most backward a position you reach the black cover easiest and you can locate two buttons on a black housing. Push one to the left ( there is padlock open on it and then push on the left one labeled ROM. This one will slide the DVD out,, which will only slide out completely when you move the seat back fully forward. Once you have the old DVD out slide the new on in. After that slide the button with the closed padlock on it to the close position and you are done. Then put back on the black plasti cover with the four clips. Good luck. |
