I'm tempted to get the EGRs done but, as I understand it, Alive's system doesn't "fool" the system which allows it to get through an MOT like an emulator does. Is that correct? If so, does that mean a de-blank once a year to get through the test? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

The EGR valve is not part of the MOT. As long as the exhaust smoke is within its prescribed limits, it will pass, regardless of whether the EGR has been blanked or not Thumbs Up

Interesting. I was under the impression that EGR operation was now checked electronically. Not sure where I got that from though... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

According to my test station I use, it is coming, they will start to put a tester on it to see the actual valves working.

Flack Thumbs Up

Nothing has been announced by VOSA about EGR blanking or removal

DPF removal is a fail though

Thumbs Up
