On certain road surfaces I notice increased noise but most of the time it is spot on. I'm running Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

yes I have same fitted, taking to dealer on wed for the master tech to have a look. Will insist on trying similar car to compare if they are the same . If the noise level is same then will have to look at different options. First time I have purchased british made and at the moment wish I hadnt |

I have those tyres too, but no drumming. Try to listen to see if its one corner - could be a rogue tyre, slightly out of shape? I had to change two Pirelli Scorpion Zeros at about 5mm tread (legal) as they were making the car wander - they were out of shape, but they weren't drumming - maybe a bulge |

Several reviews of RR Sport have commented on the quietness within the cabin as being comparable with a luxury saloon, and this has been my experience, too.

So, after tests by dealer, the tech I"d the noise as tyre noise and that the problem is ,that to use his words the tyres are saw edged . on return to dealership he was correct they do have a rough edge on the outer tread. He suggested fitting continentals advice I will follow after ive had a few more miles out of these. For whats it worth I did try another rrs and it was the same as mine. highly recommend Martin at Marshalls Peterborough master tech no bull or flim flam knows his product.. Will post again when new tyres fitted. http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/images/smiles/icon_confused.gif |

Have just fitted a set of Michelin Latitude Sport 3 all round, initially amazed at how quite they are compared to the Continentals. They are however a purely Summer/On Road tyre so that would account for a lot of it, just have to wait and see how they hold up. 220.00 a corner which I thought was pretty fair for a 275/45 x 20.
