Windscreen washers work - but only with the bonnet open!!!

Hello all,
Wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue with the windscreen washers (on an '06 RRS)
Mine weren't working so I've been trying to fix it....no issues with headlamp or rear screen, and the washer motor is working away when you try to spray.
I've used a needle and air and checked the nozzles and managed to get them working well with a very strong jet, but they only work when the bonnet is open which is most annoying!!!
If the bonnet's closed but not locked they work fine...
They also work when only the centre hand release catch is engaged.
The issue only occurs when I press the bonnet closed and it locks.
With the bonnet open the spray is really strong so I don't think it's the washer motor...
I assume the pipes must be being trapped or compressed somehow when the bonnet is locked closed?
It looks OK to the naked eye and the pipes are all hidden under the bonnet insulation so not dangling around.
Any advice /suggestions welcome

Hi,
does suggest trapped pipe, trying disconnecting the pipe from the jets wrap end of pipe in paper shut bonnet and try again?
paper should confirm if water comes out.

make sure bottle full, as headlamp washers don't work if level too low.

Thumbs Up

Any advice on getting the bonnet insulation off without damaging it or the fasteners?

There was a fold in the wire flex carrying the washer tube as it routes by the left hand bonnet hinge by the fuse box!!!!!
With the bonnet open there was no fold...but as the bonnet lowers the fold gets more doubled over...
Have pulled the slack back so it no longer kinks.
Sorted now! Thumbs Up
