Long time lurker, firs time poster.

A bit of history. I have always wanted a Range Rover but my better half grew up with them and knows only too well what its like when is does breakdown, in the rain, at the side of a road somewhere. So up to now she has banned me from buying one. Had Merc ML, estates etc but big NO to Range Rovers,

Well, two weeks ago read on here and another forum that LR are offering a 2 yr warranty on used/approved. A chat/testdrive later and I am now the proud owner of the following.

Purchased from Pentland Edinburgh
RANGE ROVER SPORT 3.0 SDV6 HSE 2012
12,500 miles on the clock
1 owner
2yr warranty
1st MOT warranty
1/2 day off road course
1/2 tank of diesel and 1yr road tax.

Paid £38k for it. Think I did OK on that front. Yes i can get it cheaper elsewhere but not without the extras!

I plan to post up a week by week owners account of this for fellow enthusiasts following behind me.

I still cant get over my car has a fridge and tv!!!

I get home late from work so I am going to wait until the weekend to take it out for a proper spin!

I did however sit in it today, read some manual, played with all the settings etc, still need to pinch myself I own it. Nothing comes close to this IMO.

Fiddle and play with all the buttons to your hearts content....... make sure the engine is running though. I did all that when I first got mine and had a flat battery the next day !

Lol, just took it for its first real run to a nice and quiet ikea, and apart from the bint on the roundabout who tried to tank slap me, all is well and can't Beleive I have his bad boy.

Tomorrow is a trip to my mums to show it off.

WEEK 1 Ownership!

So I have had my car for a week now, and due to moving house/not wanting it to get dirty I have only done approx 60miles in it.

I bought from the dealer and on the Friday got my Warranty through, looks like its administered by CarPlan. I also received a letter from the dealer thanking me for my business etc. Still waiting for my LRE 1/2 day but assume that will come through as and when. It also stated I have 2 years MOT warranty and not just the one year as advertised. So we will see what happens with that.

So far the car has been faultless. I have done motorway driving and in town driving and its awesome. Everything is so effortless and easy.

Car matts have been ordered.

So after one week certainly no grumbles from me and love it to bits.

An I know, I promise to get some pics up soon. Just been soo busy moving into my new house etc.
