my mate had my 2008 rr last week he ran battery flat by leaving boot light on
when i got it back i noticed mpg etc had all reset ,i asked him did he jump start it which he said yes,
drove it for 100 miles no probs went pull a mate who got his car stuck on grass as soon as i pulled onto grass
suspension fault light came on so carried on hook car onto towbar went to pull and car wouldnt come
out of park mode , switched off car then wouldnt restart ?? kept n clicking so got another mate round to jump
start mine no worries it started ,half way pulling him out stopped again put it n park switched off
and same stuck in park untill switching off engine and jumpsatrt again got home and switched
off engine and it started fine and suspension light went out ,could it be battery on its last legs .

Or alternator. I'm not Fat. RRS TDV6 HST.

when car was running a tested it was running over 13 volts so i ruled out altenator??

The TDV6 should be closer to 15volts

A 100 mile drive won't recharge a flat RRS battery. What voltage do you see on the battery? You need to let the systems go back to sleep after you unlock and open the bonnet. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I get 14.5 on tickover from the sat nav screen. I'd say you need to be nearer that figure. 13 sounds low possibly on the way out by sounds of it. I'm not Fat. RRS TDV6 HST.

ok thanks i will check the sat nav screen later also on the drive home after towing him out therevwas acwhining coming from the drivers side when u put your foot down ? altenator bearing on its way out ??
