2007 TDV8 FRONT BRAKE SQUEAL (BREMBO)

at my wits end with these brakes, had no noise until I fitted new discs and pads (genuine brembo).

the squeal appears at low speeds and reverse.

ive tried copper grease

no grease

a lover grade brake pad set

ive done 1000 miles and still the same

etc

etc

any help would be gratefully appreciated before I throw a hammer at it!

mine does it, not sure what the solution is, ive found a couple of high speed runs and jump on the brakes hard seems to clear it for a while

Some brembo calipers have antisqueal shims ,seen it on subaru brembo's but not sure about range rover calipers-best ask a local main dealer.

Never used anti-squeal shims on Brembo calipers before. Never squeaked before...

Is it definately coming from the front, and not from a binding rear caliper, or EPB. Or even the backplate rubbing against the disc Question

Have come across this over on the full fat forum, squeal on Brembo calipers can be fixed by changing the pin and spring kit, these seem to loose tension.

Is it fair to assume that the new discs were de-greased before fitting? I have had a pair back before for "warranty" that were brown coloured where the protective coating was burnt on. sorry for asking, just needs to be ruled out. Paul Redding

thanks for the info, ruled this out prior to fitting and many time after, my pins and clip seem to have really good tension but can try this Thumbs Up

If they were from me happy to swap the pads if you think they are iffy, although Brembo stuff is usually 100% everytime. Paul Redding

gen brembo gear, I even tried a cheaper pad to try and see if the softer option would work! Big Cry
