I just swapped across from a 2009 FL2 into a 2012 RRS and yes the SatNav is very different and much better (mind you it is in the last Freelanders as well). Finer, more highly defined graphics if that makes sense and it dims at night (the screen was always too bright at night in the Freelander).

Thanks for the tip. If you took the sat nav out the equation is the other one OK? I tend to avoid using inbuilt sat nav and use my garmin instead as its so much better. |

If you mean "Is the RRS OK compared to the FL2?" then the answer is a resounding "Yes". Its a vast improvement, more refined and powerful and the boot space is much much better. If you get the last of the line you get the 8 speed auto, power tailgate etc which are excellent. My first tank even returned 29mpg which is about the same as would have got out of my Freelander.
