Hi all, just been to the shops with my lad and he commented on one of my posts. He asked what the whirring sound was coming from the back of the car ? now I'm thinking could it be the fuel pump ?? please help |

Thanks for the reply, It starts light whiring about 30 mph then vanishes as you go faster, but the annoying thing is when you come back down to 30 ish its the same pitch and oscillation until the vehicle stops, but it's not engine related as stationary revs do nothing for it as it's not there. The other ideas I had was could it be the park brake rubbing or even the gearbox playing up, but it drives smooth as silk so stuck on this one..If it was a bearing would it not speed up and down with speed, as this does not ? |

Hi noise will vary with speed as you say to some extent depends how bad they are. If only starting to go above 30 if rear bearing your leaving the noise behind, best thing is to get it checked out
