The latest 07 sports will get sat nav on the move - ie enter postcodes whilst driving.... does anyone know if this will be available as on upgrade/software fix for our older sports |

Don't see why not, if LR can be bothered to produce it. |

This may be a silly question - but how does the old sat nav know that you are moving ? -

You'd hope so - but wouldnt it be simple to remove the connection between the ECU and the Satnav ? RRS TDV8 HSE - Hybrid TV - Sunroof - Adaptive Front Headlights - Harman/Kardon LOGIC7 system BMW GT |

Dont think you'll find its a simple connection????? Itls all software related/talk between all systems ecu/satnav/ignition/NASSA etc etc all connected via a system called "most" |

I would think this would confuse the system. The ecu knows how fast you're traveling linked in with the sat nav etc.etc. = position on map. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten 2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed. ![]() WINNER - 2009 Idler Of The Year Award Runner Up - 2009 Just Doing What Its Designed To Do Award DO NOT CLICK HERE! |

The ECU wouldnt get any speed from the satnav. After all - GPS speed isnt accurate and is an average speed between two points. I'm sure there must be an easy way to override this functionality... RRS TDV8 HSE - Hybrid TV - Sunroof - Adaptive Front Headlights - Harman/Kardon LOGIC7 system BMW GT |

The ECU gives it to the sat nav system. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Why would it - The satnav can work out the speed using the GPS data. It wouldnt be able to do anything with the data anyway. RRS TDV8 HSE - Hybrid TV - Sunroof - Adaptive Front Headlights - Harman/Kardon LOGIC7 system BMW GT |
