105k to 150k = 3-4 years motoring and service costs of £3,500 plus all the other things that will go wrong. At over 100k miles I'd save my money for the repair bills and get a local independent to service it without going over the top. on what I assume is a £10-£14k vehicle ?

Yeah but knowing stratstone they will be using clothing belts - 2nd hand at that!
Autologic - the only real diagnostic software - If you know them and are happy with them, then an indi is the way to go Mike 2014 Facelift Discovery |

One way I have found to keep costs a bit lower while keeping comprehensive dealership history, was to source your own parts.

Always buy genuine filters and essential parts - never get knock-offs, but save on labour, most independents will stamp your book Mike

hmm when i phoned to check history on mine with local LR dealer, he said £380 for my next service (currently on 129k) its due in jan or 130k miles he said, i thought maybe at that price it would look good to sell on given the milage is a little high, luckily im averageing 50 miles a week at min in mine but 500 a week in my van.......soooo wish id waited and got a s/c |
